Look! No Hands! A test of mobility. .

Hi Folks!,

As a massage practitioner, I think a lot about how improving our mobility can improve the quality of our lives. But did you know that mobility is also a key indicator of longevity?

For example, the sitting-rising test, which tests a person’s ability to sit and then rise using the least amount of support possible, is a significant predictor of mortality risk in older adults!

Thankfully, with practice and the right exercises, we can strengthen our musculoskeletal system, gain back lost mobility, and increase our chances for living long and healthy lives.

Check out this video from health span nut and longevity expert Dr. Peter Attia with Beth Lewis for a simple exercise to increase your ability to sit and rise without support. And if you want to learn more about ways to increase your longevity, I highly recommend checking out Dr. Attia’s book Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity.

In case you missed it, please know we made a huge announcement in our last newsletter.

All for now!
