Announcements for Mahalo Massage NYC and Bank The Fire!
I shall not mince words. Covid is real. Just in case you were wondering. I got Covid for Easter! Then my Bank The Fire producer, Dezi, got it. Then she and he got it, then he and she got it, then they got it and on and on (unrelated infections). With this current wave we hope you’re healthy and well and/or fully recovered.
Because of the aforementioned, Bank The Fire’s May release has been necessarily postponed until June 15! We’re busy making up for lost time recording, interviewing and editing every chance we get. Our guests include Stephanie, an NYC jewelry designer and founder of Metalicious Jewelry; Kalyn, stationer and all round style guru, founder of Effie’s Paper; Nikki, an entrepreneur, activist and founder of non-profit Buy From a Black Woman; my health insurance aka Acupuncturist Cesar and many others. These conversations include starter stories, what entrepreneur life can be like and how purpose and passion can start a Fire, as well as, how to Bank the Fire: take rest from responsibilities so we can do it all, all over again. We’ll be making announcements via IG and email about which podcast listening platforms you can find us on. I’m looking forward to sharing my conversations with you.
In other office news, as many of you know, we’ve been providing complimentary bottles of water with our sessions . Hydration is so important, especially after massage when the blood is flowing and the body is filtering all the kicked up muck. We will continue to provide complimentary water but after reading about plastic in this article, here on wiki and learning about this non-profit we can no longer in good conscience continue to provide single use bottles of plastic. We have just installed a brand new reverse osmosis water filter system. We encourage everyone to bring their own reusable bottle for refills and we’ll also have reusable cups for use in the office.
With warmer weather paying us more frequent visits, many of you will surely be wearing flip flops more often, getting out and getting more active so come and get hydrated after getting massaged. Let's help you get ready for Summer!
