Happy birthday to me!

If you’re in NYC or anywhere it’s raining then I hope the rains are replenishing and cooling.

My twin and I will have been on this planet for 40 years this Saturday.  If you’d like to join me in celebrating then I ask you to do at least one thing that brings you joy today, tomorrow and Saturday.  Keep it as simple as possible.  For example, my friend’s mother loves to iron.  She’ll find any excuse to, without hesitation.  It brings her joy.  We all know it so no one can deny her.  Just thinking of this makes me happy.  There now.  That was a super easy joyful moment.  Other easy joyful moments for me usually involve food.  I love preparing it, eating it, shopping for it or reading about it.  Today I will sit and savor a perfectly ripened piece of fruit.  I’m asking you to do at least one but I’m engaging in at least two.  Sky’s the limit really.  If you’d like a suggestion for some joy time then watch this video with me.  It’s a wonderful example of an artist who painted for the Joy of Painting.  He loved to paint happy little trees, happy clouds, a rock named Harold. . .

I hope you all enjoyed the conclusion of the Solanaceae series last week.  I have not completely quelled my curiosity of the tomatopotatoeggplantgoji berry and chili pepper but I’m as close as I’m going to get for the time being.  There are so many more interesting topics to come.  In the meantime, I met a wonderful new client yesterday that made me VERY glad for my research about collagen and vitamin C.  You know who you are!

Next week, my personal recipe for small batch homemade sauerkraut filled with gut loving probiotics.

Enjoy!

Until next we meet!
